1. Registration fees & badge

The registration fee for this meeting is 5,000 yen (Student with no salary; 3,000 yen).
The registration fee for the banquet on September 26 at Rihga Royal Hotel is 5,000 yen (Student with no salary; 3,000 yen).

  1. Please pay the fee at the reception desk in cash (Japanese yen only). Credit cards are not accepted.
  2. Please write your name and affiliation on your registration badge, and then wear it at all times. Please note that badges CANNOT be reissued.

2. For session chairpersons

Please sit in the chair prepared for the next chairperson 10 minutes before your session starts.

3. For presenters

  1. Oral presentations must be computer-based. Please follow the instructions shown below, and make your presentation in English.
  2. Presentation time is 7 min and discussion time is 5 min.
    (For invited keynote speakers, presentation time is 20 min and discussion time is 5 min.)
  3. Immediately after the speaker ahead of you starts their presentation, please sit in the chair prepared for the next speaker.
  4. We strongly recommend using your own laptop computer for your presentation. Please bring a backup USB drive just in case.
  5. Either Windows (Windows XP (Service Pack 2) or later) or Macintosh (Mac OS X 10.5 or later) laptops with USB ports can be used. Your presentation should be in PowerPoint only. Please be sure to bring a USB flash drive for backup purposes, as well as an AC adapter.
    The organizer will only provide 15-pin mini D-sub cables (no wireless connection will be available). If you need another type of connector, please bring it yourself.
    The resolution of the projector provided is 1024 x 768 (XGA). Please be aware that if your presentation slides are a different size, the projected image may be distorted.
  6. You have to confirm that your laptop works with our monitor and cables at the Speaker Ready Room in the lobby at least one hour prior to your scheduled presentation. Before your presentation, please take your laptop to the PC operator in the Conference Hall by yourself.
  7. The name of your presentation file should be a combination of your presentation number and your surname.

4. For poster presenters

  1. Please make your poster in English (the poster discussion will be in Japanese).
  2. Poster schedule
    Putting up: before 10:30 a.m. on September 26
    Taking down: after 4:00 p.m. on September 27
    Discussion: 1:30-2:30 p.m. on September 27
    • During the poster discussion, please make sure to stand beside or in front of your poster.
    • Poster Award: Our committee will select a few outstanding posters based on quality of research and discussion to receive a prize at the closing ceremony.
  3. A 140cm W x 210cm H panel with a number will be provided in Room 1202. Pushpins for hanging the posters are provided.
